舞台摇滚 Arena Rock
舞台摇滚（Arena Rock）发起于70年代中期，当重型摇滚和重金属乐队开始赢取了声望。这种音乐因其引以为傲漂亮的旋律和赞美诗般的合唱形式逐渐成为商业导向和广播电台 的宠儿，当然还有他们把重型摇滚和普遍的认知的民谣结合起来。大部分这些乐队是通过他们大量的把唱片发送给FM电台和持续的巡回演唱会争得了他们大量的乐 迷。如Journey，REO Speedwagon，Boston，Foreigner和Styx就是通过此来成为70年代中后期最流行的乐队。
